Georgetown Visitation, in partnership with TenniStar, will be hosting four weeks of girls’ lacrosse camps this summer, starting June 21st.   Trinity University head women’s lacrosse coach Sarah Schermerhorn will direct the LaxStar camp.  Sarah had a stand-out four-year varsity lacrosse career at the Gunnery School in Washington, CT, where she was named an All-American.  She received a scholarship to play as a starter on Vanderbilt’s first NCAA Division I female lacrosse team.  Sarah, a McLean native, is adept at teaching the sport’s fundamentals and intricacies to players of all levels and her focus is on positive reinforcement.

One-week LaxStar morning sessions (6/21-7/9) are from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and are open to girls, ages 8-14.  Morning campers may join any one of our other sports camps at Visitation (tennis, soccer or basketball) during the afternoon.  From July 12-16, from 12:00 – 3:00 pm, Sarah will direct an “elite” girl’s camp for rising 9th graders and experienced 8th graders.  The camps are open to players from all schools.

Additional information as well as enrollment and payment procedures can be found at www.tennistar.com  Click on the “Visi Camps” icon on the top of the home page, and then click LaxStar, listed under “Camp Quick Links.”  Team discounts are available.  Call TenniStar at (301) 530-5472 or email tennistarcamps@earthlink.net
